Accessibility Statement
The Studio wants everyone to be able to find us, book us, join us, and show up — online and in person. This statement describes how our website supports that commitment.
Measures to support accessibility
- Accessibility is part of our mission, not an afterthought.
- We provide continual accessibility training for our staff.
- We assign clear accessibility goals and responsibilities.
- Accessibility was a core requirement of our 2026 website rebuild, including semantic HTML landmarks, a keyboard-navigable interface, visible focus states, reduced-motion support, and text alternatives for imagery.
Conformance status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities, at three levels of conformance: A, AA, and AAA. The Studio’s website targets, and is partially conformant with, WCAG 2.2 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not yet fully conform to the accessibility standard.

Compatibility with browsers and assistive technology
This website is designed to work with current versions of popular browsers and assistive technologies. It may not display correctly in browsers more than three major versions old or on mobile operating systems more than five years old.
Technical specifications
Accessibility of this website relies on the following technologies: HTML, WAI-ARIA, CSS, and JavaScript. The site remains readable and navigable if JavaScript is unavailable.
Limitations and alternatives
Despite our best efforts, some limitations remain. Please contact us if you observe an issue not listed below.
- Third-party ticketing and RSVP flows. Event RSVPs and ticket purchases are handled by third-party platforms (such as Partiful) whose interfaces we cannot fully customize. Keyboard-only users may encounter modules with imperfect focus notification. If you have trouble getting into an event, email hello@studiohermosa.com and a human will sort you out.
- Historic photography. Our archive is large and community-generated; we are working through older images to improve alt text.
Assessment approach
The Studio assessed the accessibility of this website through self-evaluation and external evaluation.
