Large contemporary paintings hang on The Studio's dark walls above vintage rugs

The walls talk

Art

A rotating collection from the artists of Not Shockboxx — hanging right on the other side of our wall, and often on ours.

Live with it

Not made to sit quietly

The work on these walls was never meant to hide in a gallery box.

It’s here to spark conversation, challenge assumptions, and occasionally make you wonder what the hell you’re looking at. The collection rotates through The Studio courtesy of Not Shockboxx (opens in a new tab) — one of the South Bay’s most unapologetically independent contemporary galleries, run by our owners, right next door.

If a piece follows you home in your imagination, there’s a good chance it can follow you home for real. Art should be lived with, not just looked at.
